We have answered some frequently asked questions on what to expect at your appointments.  We pride ourselves in creating a welcoming atmosphere and want to ensure that your experience is a positive one. Below we have answered some questions on what to expect; if should have more specific questions please discuss them with your therapist upon arrival.

You will need to talk to your child’s pediatrician. He or she will need to send us a doctor’s order that specifies what type of therapy your child needs and add any medical information that would help us during our evaluation.

A CMN is short for Certificate of Medical Necessity. We get CMN on all children that have Medicaid for insurance even if it’s secondary. They are a more detailed doctors order.

We work with almost all major insurance providers, and we do our best to help you keep the paperwork pain-free. We can even bill auto insurance if you have an injury due to an automobile accident. If you are in doubt about whether we accept your plan, you may verify with us when you call to schedule your appointment.

If your insurance provider requires a co-pay or deductible, we will ask for payment during your visit. We accept payments by cash, check or credit card.

We typically allow observation students during holidays when our clinical graduate students are out of school. If you would like to observe, call our office and we can schedule you with one of our therapists.

Our clinical placement manager can be contacted at studentprograms@urpt.com by any university interested.

Please call us at (601) 853-9747 and we’d be happy to assist you.

Of course! We have an open door policy. As long as your child continues to participate well with the therapist, we love parents to watch and learn.

Most treatments are done at the clinic however we do have some contract with schools in the area and Physician prescribed Extended Cares. Call our office for details.

We do not have interpreters on our staff; however we are happy to provide you with an interpreter should you need their services. If you need an interpreter for your appointments, please let our staff know ahead of time so that we can find the appropriate interpreter to be available for your appointments. We will cover any costs related to interpreter services.
