Welcome to Beyond Therapy in Hattiesburg, MS

The dynamic team at Beyond Therapy consists of a group of speech language pathologists, physical therapists and occupational therapists. Each are uniquely skilled in creating evidence-based therapy interventions that seem like play and are fun for children! We are the place where therapy meets play.

Our Team

Presley Napier, M.S., CCC-SLP
Clinic Director/Speech Language Pathologist
Presley graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences and graduated from Jackson State University in 2015 with a Master of Science in Communicative Disorders degree. She started with Beyond Therapy in Ridgeland, MS in 2015. In 2020, she transitioned to the position of Clinic Director for the Beyond Therapy Hattiesburg clinic. Presley enjoys working with pediatric feeding disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, and early language development. She enjoys establishing relationships with the families of the child to ensure success not only in the treatment room but across all settings. Presley resides in Collins, MS with her husband and two children.

Caitlyn Burgess, OTR/L
Caitlyn attended the Mississippi University for Women for undergraduate and then graduated from The University of MS Medical Center in 2017 with a Master of Occupational Therapy degree. Caitlyn especially enjoys working with ASD, sensory processing difficulties, infant development, and primitive reflex integration. Caitlyn resides in Perkinston,MS with her husband, Josh, and two children- Weatherly and Brayden.

Julia Hovatter, MS, OT/L
Julia graduated from the University of South Alabama in 2006 with a Bachelors of Allied Health and Sciences followed in 2008 by a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy. In 2013 she received her Sensory Integration Certification. Julia’s areas of interest include sensory processing disorder, developmental disorders, primitive reflex integration and feeding difficulties. She resides in Petal, MS with her husband and son. In her spare time she enjoys traveling with her family and spending time on the water.

Kelly Jordan, PT, DPT
Kelly graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science
in biological sciences. She graduated from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2016
with a Clinical Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She enjoys working with pediatric movement and
balance disorders, gross motor delays, primitive reflex integration, and many other diagnoses.
She lives in Sumrall, MS with her husband Matt.

Laken Smith, M.S., CCC-SLP
Laken graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences. She is a 2016 graduate from The University of Southern Mississippi with a Masters in Speech-Language Pathology. Laken enjoys working with pediatric feeding disorders, dysphagia, oromyofunctional disorders, AAC, Apraxia, language disorders, articulation disorders, fluency, and phonological disorders . She resides in Petal, MS with her husband and son.

Kristen Dale, M.S., CCC-SLP
Kristen graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences in 2015. In 2018, she graduated from Jackson State University with a Masters in Communicative Disorders. Kristen loves that the field of speech-language pathology allows the opportunity to work with a variety of disorders. She has a special interest in childhood apraxia of speech, phonological disorders, articulation disorders, AAC, and early language development. Kristen lives in Sumrall, MS with her husband and two children. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, working out, and going to Church.
